2. Frequent, Excessive Urination
If you find yourself scurrying off to the bathroom a lot, and you have a bigger volume of urine, then it could be a sign of diabetic ketoacidosis. When your blood has excess glucose in it, your body is going to try to expel that glucose, and it is going to take a lot of fluids in the process. You may find yourself peeing more frequently and in greater volumes.
This is a very common symptom of both diabetic ketoacidosis and diabetes, and it can disrupt your daily life and make it difficult to sleep through the night. Frequent urination often comes along with frequent thirst and dry mouth, and these symptoms kind of define what it’s like to live with untreated diabetes and diabetic ketoacidosis.
If you’re not getting your blood sugar problems addressed, you’ll find yourself in the bathroom a lot. It shouldn’t trouble you too much, though, because there are treatments out there that can help you get your blood sugar in your target range.
