12. Cold Hands and Feet
Remember how we talked about pain, numbness, and tingling in the hands and feet before? Well, there’s another symptom that’s related to your hands and feet. If your hands and feet are always cold, you could have blood sugar-related problems. It could be a sign that you have poor circulation and need help. If you have this problem, get to a doctor. Circulatory problems can lead to major issues down the road.
You can have major diabetes-related complications if you have poor circulation to your extremities for too long. While garden-variety cold hands and feet aren’t a big deal if it happens occasionally, it can be a problem if you see it happening all the time. No one likes to experience cold hands and feet all the time, and it can damage the quality of your life. Some diabetics have serious issues with circulation, and they can even develop major circulatory problems that lead to amputation.
