2. Unexplained Fatigue
If you have fatigue for no reason, and you’re getting enough sleep, eating enough food, haven’t exercised too strenuously, and don’t have an infection, then it might be related to a serious degenerative disease like prediabetes. Now, prediabetes isn’t technically a disease like diabetes, and prediabetes doesn’t have to turn into diabetes, but that fatigue can be a sign that your blood sugar isn’t at the right level.
When your cells can’t get the glucose they need for energy, then you feel extreme fatigue. Worse yet, your body could start using fat and muscle as fuel, and you could lose much-needed weight and muscle. You will even more fatigued if that happens.
If your body is making energy correctly with the food it gets, then you won’t feel that sense of fatigue. But, in prediabetes and diabetes sufferers, that process is hampered. Check with a doctor to see if your glucose metabolism is working correctly.
