2. White Bread, White Rice, and Pasta
These three carbs aren’t good if you have diabetes. If you must eat bread, go for whole-grain bread. If you must eat rice, go for long-grain brown rice. There is always a healthier option if you must have bread, rice, or pasta. Refined flour products are absolutely terrible if you have diabetes. They raise your blood sugar and can interfere with brain function.
Replace refined white flour products with high-fiber, whole-grain options if you’re going to be eating carbs like these. Just substitute them out for a healthier alternative. You’ll still get much of the same taste, without the disastrous effects on your blood sugar. You can still use some of your favorite sauces, spreads, and so on.
