2. Headaches
A person who has developed hyperglycemia may suffer from headaches that can be debilitating. Similar to not being able to concentrate, the headaches are often caused by the brain not getting enough glucose or because the glucose that it is getting is not in the correct form.
When you are suffering from diabetes it can be enough to try to keep your blood sugar in check. Getting these horrible headaches simply adds insult to injury. Not only are you struggling with other bodily functions that are not working properly, but you also have a headache that is simply making things much worse.
The main cause of the headaches is the blood sugar levels dropping or rising too fast. This spike or decline in blood sugar levels can cause a mild headache or a full-blown migraine that leaves you lying in bed for the entire day, which is something no one has time to deal with.
