3. Unquenchable Thirst
If you know someone who suffers from diabetes, chances are that you have heard them talk about how thirsty they are all the time. If you suddenly find yourself feeling thirsty all the time it could be a sign of hyperglycemia. When there is too much glucose in the blood it can cause you to become thirsty.
The reason for this is because when there is a high amount of glucose in the blood, the kidneys begin to slow down. The kidneys cannot process things like they do in a person who is healthy. This means that you will have to pee more often. When you start to pee more often, you will become dehydrated.
When you are dehydrated your body craves liquids, resulting in you feeling thirsty all the time. It is important to remain hydrated as dehydration can cause many other health problems as well.
